Okay, here’s the deal. You can’t see a beautiful bloom and not get that jolt of happy from the release of those feel-good chemicals like dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins. It’s been studied, the pleasure center is stimulated by many things, with flowers being one of them (Rutgers University) and once stimulated, one of the aforementioned chemicals is released. I’ve been drawn to flowers for so long, and it’s no wonder why. Every time I see a bloom on my tropical hibiscus plant and tree, I instantly feel good and it’s hard not to smile. Now the flip side, is that it’s hard not to feel a little down when the plants are wilted or have dying leaves. Like flowers, Peculiar Bloom, our disposition can have a similar effect on ourselves and others. When something elicits a genuine smile, it’s hard not to feel good and vice versa, if a frown is elicited, you bet, negative feelings will follow.
Are you a beautiful bloom to yourself or someone? What kind of flower or plant are you drawn to
